London (Web Desk): Pakistan and Qatar once again pledged to further deepen their historic and brotherly relationship, reaffirming their shared desire to expand cooperation and mutual understanding.
The renewed commitment came during a telephone call held on Wednesday between Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif and the Emir of Qatar, Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani.
In a conversation marked by warmth and mutual respect, both leaders exchanged sincere greetings on the advent of the holy month of Ramadan.
They prayed for peace, harmony and unity across the Muslim Ummah, expressing hope that the sacred month would bring blessings and tranquility to people around the world.
During the discussion, the prime minister conveyed his gratitude for Qatar’s consistent diplomatic engagement under the leadership of Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani.
He commended Doha’s efforts to encourage dialogue and reconciliation, particularly in the Middle East, as well as in other regions facing instability.
The two leaders also discussed key regional and global issues, sharing perspectives on current developments.
They reiterated their intention to remain in close contact and continue joint efforts aimed at promoting peace, stability and economic progress both within their region and beyond.
Later, in a post shared on the social media platform X, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif described his telephonic interaction with the Qatari Emir as cordial and constructive.
He noted that they had exchanged Ramadan greetings and offered prayers for solidarity, unity and serenity for the Ummah.
The prime minister further stated that both sides had reaffirmed their collective resolve to strengthen the enduring fraternal bonds between Pakistan and Qatar.
He also expressed appreciation for Qatar’s diplomatic initiatives, undertaken under Sheikh Tamim’s wise leadership, to advance peace and reconciliation in the Middle East and other parts of the world.
