KP CM announces formation of special force for PTI founder’s release

Peshawar (Web Desk): Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP)  Chief Minister Sohail Afridi has has announced the formation of “ Imran Khan Release Force” to coordinate and organize efforts for the release of the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) founder.

The move comes as part of a broader political strategy by PTI leadership to mobilize supporters and ensure a structured approach to the campaign.

PTI leader Sohail Afridi provided details, explaining that the recruitment process for the force has been launched on an urgent basis. The initiative aims to include members from all segments of society, creating a diverse and representative body.

This includes the PTI Youth Wing, Women Wing, lawyers, doctors, and other professionals, ensuring a wide-reaching network across both urban and rural areas.

Afridi stressed that the Release Force will operate strictly through peaceful and legal channels, avoiding any form of violence. Its primary mission is to coordinate organized political and legal advocacy to secure the founder’s release while maintaining discipline and public order.

According to the official announcement, members of the force will formally take their oaths immediately after Eid-ul-Fitr, marking the official launch of their activities.

Once sworn in, the force will begin implementing strategic protest actions, legal campaigns, and advocacy at both the provincial and federal levels, aiming for maximum visibility and impact while adhering to legal boundaries.

The initiative reflects PTI’s emphasis on structured political mobilization and demonstrates an organized effort to engage supporters, professionals, and civil society in a coordinated campaign for the founder’s release.

Authorities and PTI officials have underlined that all activities will remain peaceful, disciplined, and legally compliant, highlighting the party’s commitment to non-violent political engagement.

This “Release Force” is expected to play a central role in the upcoming weeks, ensuring that the party’s objectives are pursued methodically and that its supporters across the country are engaged in a cohesive and organized campaign.
