Karachi (Web Desk): Gold prices edged higher across Pakistan, reflecting a mild upward trend in both local and international markets.

According to the All Pakistan Gems and Jewellers Association, the price of gold increased by Rs 1,300 per tola, bringing the new nationwide rate to Rs 516,062.

Market analysts say the rise is linked to fluctuations in global bullion prices and ongoing uncertainty in international financial markets, which often drives investors toward safe-haven assets like gold.

The association also reported that the price of 10 grams of gold went up by Rs1,114, reaching Rs 442,439. Traders in major cities noted a steady demand for gold, particularly from investors looking to hedge against inflation and currency volatility.

On the global front, gold prices showed an upward movement as well, gaining $13 to trade at $4,933 per ounce. Experts believe that concerns over interest rates, geopolitical tensions, and slowing economic growth in some regions continue to support gold’s appeal in the international market.

Overall, the modest increase suggests cautious optimism in the bullion market, with prices expected to remain sensitive to global economic developments in the coming days.
