Nation celebrates Eid Milad-un-Nabi (PBUH) with great religious zeal, fervour

Islamabad (Web Desk): Eid Milad-un-Nabi (Peace Be Upon Him) was celebrated across the country on Tuesday with great religious zeal and fervour.

The day dawned with 31-gun salute in the federal capital and 21-gun salute in all provincial capitals.
Special prayers were offered after the Fajr prayer for unity of the Muslim Ummah and the progress and prosperity of the country. Today was also a public holiday, the Radio Pakistan reported.

Main feature of the day was National Seerat Conference in Islamabad which was organized by Ministry of Religious Affairs and Interfaith Harmony.

Radio Pakistan broadcast proceedings of the conference live on its National Hookup.

Meanwhile, streets, roads, buildings, mosques, and houses were decorated with colorful lights to mark this auspicious occasion.

Milad processions will be taken out in all cities today in which Ulema and Khateeb will highlight all aspects of life of Prophet Muhammad (Peace Be Upon Him) stressing adherence to his teachings and Sunna.

Mahafil-e-Milad are also being organized in all small and major cities to highlight life and teachings of the last prophet.

Eid Milad-ul-Nabi (PBUH) was also celebrated in Sindh including Karachi today with religious fervor and solemnity.

Streets, roads, buildings, mosques and houses were decorated with colorful lights to mark this auspicious occasion.

It was a public holiday today while the provincial government banned pillion riding across the province on this occasion.

Milad processions were taken out in all cities today in which Ulema highlighted all aspects of life of Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) stressing adherence to his teachings and Sunnah.

Mahafil-e-Milad was also organized in all small and major cities of the province to highlight teachings of the last Prophet Mohammad (PBUH).

A National Rahmatul Lil Alameen Conference was held in Peshawar today in connection with Eid Milad-un-Nabi (PBUH) celebrations.

Addressing the conference, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) Chief Minister Ali Amin Gandapur said that Seerat-un-Nabi (PBUH) is the sublime example for peoples’ high character and actions.

He stressed the need for following the lessons and actions of Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) in our practical way of life to achieve success in this world and hereafter.

The KP CM said that the dream of establishing a real Islamic Welfare state can only be realized following the teachings of Prophet Muhammad (PBUH).

Like elsewhere in the country, Eid Milad-un-Nabi (PBUH), was also celebrated in Balochistan with religious zeal and fervour.

On this occasion, a procession was taken out from Saryab Road which marched through its conventional routes and culminated at Jamiat Roy Road in Quetta city.

Similarly, various religious, political, social organisations and educational institutions also chalked out various programmes during which different features of Seerat-i-Tayyaba was highlighted and rich tribute was paid to the Holy Prophet Hazrat Mohammad (PBUH).

Meanwhile, Quetta police and other law enforcement agencies took tight security measures to maintain law and order on the occasion of Eid-ul-Milad-un-Nabi (PBUH).
