Rawalpindi (Web Desk): Security Forces have killed three Khwarij in an intelligence-based operation (IBO) in general area of Tor Darra in Khyber district of Khyber Pakhtunkhawa (KP), the military’s media wing said on Monday.
According to the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), the operation was conducted on reported presence of Khwarij and own troops effectively engaged the Khwarij location during the operation.
Weapons and ammunition were also recovered from the killed Khwarij, who remained actively involved in numerous terrorist activities in the area.
The military's media wing said that sanitization operation is being conducted to eliminate any other Kharji in the area.
"The security forces remain determined to wipe out the menace of terrorism from the country," the ISPR said.
President Asif Ali Zardari and Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif have lauded the security forces for successful operation against Fitna al-Khawarij in Khyber district.
In their separate statements, they paid tribute to the security forces for killing three kharjis in the operation.
The president and the prime minister said the entire nation stand shoulder to shoulder with the security forces in the war against terrorism.
They vowed to continue the war till the menace of terrorism is completely extirpated from the country.
