Lahore (Web Desk): Balochistan government has cancelled the registration of 3,250 non-governmental organisations (NGOs) under the National Action Plan (NAP).
According to officials, registration of the NGOs was cancelled during a scrutiny process and after checking their documents. The NGOs were registered with the industries and social welfare departments of the provincial government. The official added that the more than 4,000 NGOs were operating in Balochistan.
"NGOs need to be scrutinised and checked", Amjad Rasheed, a development expert based in Quetta said.
