Bahawalpur (Web Desk): Director General (DG) Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), Lieutenant General Ahmed Sharif Chaudhry, engaged in a dedicated interaction with the faculty members and students of Islamia University Bahawalpur, joined by representatives of other educational institutions and religious seminaries.
Addressing the gathering, the DG ISPR paid tribute to the people of Bahawalpur, acknowledging their historic role in the Pakistan Movement and their continued contributions toward the country’s peace and stability.
The discussion focused on national and regional security matters, highlighting the Pakistan Army’s responsibilities in safeguarding the nation and outlining the goals and significance of Operation Bunyanun Marsoos.
Participants were briefed on contemporary security challenges, including the spread of hostile propaganda and Indian-backed narratives aimed at creating confusion and unrest.
The discussion also underscored the critical need for media literacy, stressing that informed and responsible use of media is essential to shield young minds from misleading and harmful content.
The Vice Chancellor of Islamia University appreciated the session, terming it a valuable effort in enhancing understanding of national security concerns and Pakistan’s strategic direction.
Attendees echoed the view that strengthening media awareness among youth is vital for shaping balanced opinions and protecting national interests.
