Rawalpindi (Web Desk): Security forces on Friday killed five Khwarij terrorists including ring leader Abidullah in an intelligence-based operation (IBO) in general area Tirah, Khyber District on reported presence of Khwarij, the military’s media wing said on Friday.
According to an Inter Services Public Relations (ISPR), the conduct of operation, own troops effectively engaged Khwarij location, as a result of which, five Khwarij including Kharji ring leader Abidullah alias Turab, were sent to hell, while one Kharji was apprehended.
It said that weapons and ammunition were also recovered from the Khwarij, who remained actively involved in numerous terrorist activities in the area against the security forces as well as killing of innocent civilians.
The statement added that sanitization operation is being conducted to eliminate any other Kharji found in the area.
“Security forces of Pakistan are determined to wipe out the menace of terrorism from the country,” the ISPR said.
President Asif Ali Zardari and Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif have commended the security forces for conducting successful operation against Khwarij in Tirah area of Khyber district.
In their separate messages, the president and the premier appreciated the bravery of security forces for killing five Khwarij, including their ringleader, and arresting one Kharji.
President Asif Ali Zardari vowed that operations against the Fitna-al-Khwarij will continue till the complete elimination of terrorism from the country.
PM Shehbaz said the entire nation stands united with the security forces against terrorism.
He expressed the resolve to completely wipe out all forms and manifestations of terrorism from the country.
