Islamabad (Web Desk): Islamabad and Baghdad renewed their commitment to close and friendly ties on Wednesday as Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Senator Mohammad Ishaq Dar held a conversation with Iraq’s Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister, Dr. Fuad Mohammed Hussein.
The two leaders reflected on the longstanding sense of brotherhood between Pakistan and Iraq and reviewed options for expanding cooperation between the two countries.
The discussion focused on ways to further strengthen bilateral relations, with both sides stressing the importance of maintaining regular contacts at senior levels.
They also expressed a shared determination to boost collaboration in political and economic fields while encouraging stronger connections between the people of both nations.
A press release issued by the Foreign Office (FO) spokesperson said the exchange highlighted the mutual resolve of Pakistan and Iraq to deepen engagement and advance their relationship across multiple areas of common interest.
