Interior Minister Naqvi, Saudi counterpart discuss security, anti-drug measures

Riyadh (Web Desk): Federal Minister for Interior Mohsin Naqvi and his Saudi counter part Prince Abdulaziz bin Saud bin Naif held a high-level meeting at the Ministry of Interior in Riyadh.

The discussions focused on enhancing security cooperation between the two nations, with particular attention given to tackling drug trafficking and other mutual security concerns.

During the meeting, Prince Abdulaziz extended a warm welcome to Mohsin Naqvi and his team, reaffirming Saudi Arabia’s ongoing support for Pakistan.

Naqvi, in turn, acknowledged the deep-rooted religious and fraternal bonds that unite the two countries, expressing Pakistan’s deep appreciation for Saudi Arabia's consistent backing through challenging times.

The Pakistani delegation, which included Ambassador Ahmed Farooq, Director General of Passports and Immigration Mustafa Jamal Qazi, and Additional Secretary of the Ministry of Interior Riffat Mukhtar Raja, engaged in detailed discussions with senior Saudi officials.

Among those present were Deputy Interior Minister Nasser Al-Dawood and Lieutenant General Mohammed Al-Bassami, Director of Public Security.

Both sides emphasized the importance of strengthening cooperation in areas such as counter-narcotics and other key security initiatives, signaling their intent to deepen the strategic partnership between the two countries.

The leaders reiterated their resolve to enhance cooperation on counter-narcotics measures and other areas of mutual interest, further solidifying the historic and strategic partnership between Pakistan and Saudi Arabia.
