Antalya (Web Desk): Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan has said that the diplomatic efforts of Pakistan’s Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif played a significant role in helping bring an end to the recent conflict in the region.
Speaking at the Antalya Diplomacy Forum, the Turkish president noted that the ceasefire should not be viewed as a temporary development only, but rather as an important opportunity to move toward long-term peace and stability in the region.
He stressed that sustained diplomatic engagement was essential in reducing tensions and preventing further escalation.
He further stated that Pakistan’s role in facilitating dialogue and supporting peace efforts was commendable, adding that such initiatives demonstrate how diplomacy can still be effective in resolving complex regional disputes.
President Erdoğan also emphasized that Türkiye will continue to support peace efforts in the region and encourage dialogue between conflicting sides.
He reiterated that only through negotiations and diplomatic channels can durable solutions be achieved.
Highlighting broader regional concerns, he warned that instability in one part of the world can have far-reaching consequences, making cooperation and peacebuilding more important than ever.
