Brussels / Islamabad (Web Desk): A recent report by Modern Diplomacy has raised serious concerns over the situation in Afghanistan, supporting Pakistan’s stance that terrorist groups are once again becoming active under the Taliban regime, posing significant threats to regional security.

The report claims that the Afghan Taliban, in an effort to sustain and protect their rule, are allegedly providing shelter, financial support, and logistical assistance to various militant groups, including Fitna al-Khawarij.

According to the publication, these groups are using Afghan territory to carry out destabilizing activities in neighboring countries, particularly Pakistan.

The report highlights issues that Pakistan has repeatedly brought to the attention of the international community. It warns that terrorist networks operating from Afghanistan have become a major security risk for the entire region, describing them as a “ticking time bomb.”

Furthermore, the report states that contrary to commitments made to the global community, the Taliban administration is accused of offering safe havens to militants, a policy that could undermine both economic and security stability in the region.

The publication also cautions that if such support continues, the consequences may not remain limited to Pakistan but could spread to Central Asia and beyond. Analysts believe that this report may contribute to increasing international pressure on the Taliban regime.
