Karachi (Web Desk): A local court in Karachi on Monday approved Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) leader Ali Zaidi's three-day physical remand in a fraud case.
The PTI leader was presented before the judicial magistrate (Malir).
During the hearing, the investigating officer stated that according to the law, the accused was produced before the court within 24 hours, therefore, his physical remand should be approved.
The court reserved its decision on the police’s request for Ali Zaidi’s physical remand.
Meanwhile, the court also reserved its decision on the request to discharge the PTI leader under Section 63 of the Criminal Code and said that the decision on both requests will be announced after some time.
PTI leader Ali Zaidi was arrested on Saturday on charges of fraud and issuing threats in a case registered against him at Karachi's Ibrahim Hyderi Police Station by a citizen named Fazal Elahi.
