Multan (Web Desk): Pakistan's spinners mounted a crucial late comeback on the second day of the second Test between Pakistan and England in Multan.
England had earlier bowled Pakistan out for 366 runs, they appeared to be in control with their batsmen scoring quickly. However, the Pakistani spin bowlers, led by Sajid Khan, shifted the momentum as the day progressed.
At stumps, England found themselves at 239/6, with Jamie Smith and Brydon Carse holding the fort.
Ben Duckett stood out with a brisk 114 runs off 129 balls, but his dismissal by Sajid Khan marked a turning point. Khan's impressive figures of 4 wickets for 86 runs included the scalps of key players such as Ollie Pope, Joe Root, and Harry Brook.
Meanwhile, Noman Ali also made a significant contribution by taking the wickets of Zak Crawley and captain Ben Stokes.
Earlier in the day, Pakistan resumed their innings at 259/5 but lost their last five wickets quickly.
Contributions came from Aamir Jamal, who scored 37 runs, and Noman Ali, who added 32 runs before getting out. The final wicket for Pakistan fell shortly after the drinks break when Salman Agha was caught behind for 31 runs.
