Sri Lankan aircrafts deal: PIA CEO’s name put on ECL

Islamabad (Staff Report): Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) put the name of Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) CEO Bernd Hildenbrand’s name on the Exit Control List on Wednesday.

The media reports said, an inquiry is underway after the directive to place CEO’s name under ECL has been signed by assistant director Khawaja Hammadur Rehman.

In this regard Khawaja Hammad ur Rehman’s notification has been posted on all the major airports that Hildenbrand should not be allowed to depart from the country.

According to details, PIA’s CEO purchased aircrafts at exorbitant prices from a Sri Lankan airline as a result of the deal PIA allegedly lost several million dollars.
