Lahore (Staff Report/Agencies): Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari on Sunday met Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) vice president Maryam Nawaz at jati Umran in Raiwind.
According to PML-N spokesperson Marriyum Aurangzeb, the party vice president extended the invitation during a telephonic conversation. She said that a few important leaders from both sides will also attend the meeting.
“I will go to Jati Umra on Sunday for a lunch on invitation of Maryam Nawaz. We are meeting as a single party cannot steer the country out of crises,” PPP chairman had said on Saturday.
Meanwhile, PML-N vice president aid the meeting with Bilawal was taking place with the approval of Nawaz and Shehbaz Sharif.
This is the second meeting of the leadership of the two main opposition parties in less than a month.
In May, Maryam had been invited to an iftar hosted by Bilawal for opposition parties. The leaders of the opposition parties held a joint press conference after the iftar dinner.
