Lahore (Web Desk): Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) Vice President Maryam Nawaz tested positive for coronavirus.
The PML-N leader announced this in a short Twitter post on Saturday.
Maryam Nawaz has been addressing several rallies in recent days as part of the party's campaign for the upcoming by-elections in Punjab on Sunday.
This is not the first time that Maryam has contracted the coronavirus. She previously tested positive in July 2021.
It is pertinent to mention that since the emergence of the coronavirus pandemic in Pakistan in February 2020, several top politicians and government officials have tested positive, including President Arif Alvi, Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Chairman Imran Khan and Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) Chairperson Bilawal Bhutto-Zardari. All of them have since recovered.
