Rawalpindi (Web Desk): Security forces successfully eliminated 12 Indian-sponsored terrorists of Fitna Al-Hindustan while thwarting a series of coordinated terrorist attacks in three different engagements in Kharan City of Balochistan’s Kharan district, the military’s media wing said on Friday.

According to the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), on January 15, 2026, approximately 15 to 20 Indian-sponsored terrorists of Fitna Al Hindustan carried out multiple terrorist activities in Kharan City, District Kharan. Wherein, terrorists attacked City Police Station, National Bank of Pakistan and Habib Bank Limited. During the activity, Rs3.4 Million were looted from the banks by terrorists.

The statement said that security forces effectively responded and engaged the terrorists, prompting them to retreat.
“During the ensuing clearance operation, 12 terrorists were sent to hell in three different engagements. Terrorists’ design to create a hostage situation at the police station was also effectively thwarted,” it further said.

The military’s media wing said that sanitization operation continues in the surroundings to eliminate any other Indian sponsored terrorists.

“A relentless Counter Terrorism campaign under vision “Azm-e-Istehkam” (as approved by Federal Apex Committee on National Action Plan) by Security Forces and Law Enforcement Agencies of Pakistan will continue at full pace to wipe out menace of foreign sponsored and supported terrorism from the country,” the ISPR said.

Meanwhile, Balochistan Chief Minister Mir Sarfraz Bugti on Friday cautioned that extremist elements are manipulating social media platforms to misguide unsuspecting students and use them as tools to serve their destructive objectives, adding that a deliberate effort is underway to lure the youth into a meaningless confrontation.

Talking to reporters during a press briefing in Quetta, he said the provincial administration has initiated concrete steps to further tighten security at banks across Balochistan.

He also expressed appreciation for the security forces, acknowledging their unwavering commitment and sacrifices in safeguarding the province.
