Prague (Web Desk): US Secretary of State Marco Rubio stated that the United States intends to act as a partner, not a protector, of Europe.
Speaking at a press conference with the Prime Minister of Slovakia, Rubio emphasized that the US wants its European allies to be self-reliant in their defense while working collaboratively with America.
He added that under the leadership of President Donald Trump, the United States will give importance to Slovakia and Central Europe in how they develop relations with Europe and the wider world.
Rubio also stressed that the US will not limit itself to formal meetings or discussions but will take concrete and practical measures that benefit the citizens of both countries.
Regarding Iran, Rubio said that no successful deal has been reached so far, but the U.S. is working toward one. He warned that if negotiations fail, the United States will take action in accordance with the law.
