PM Shehbaz in Vienna to hold talks with Austrian leadership

Vienna (Web Desk): Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif reached Vienna on Sunday for a two-day official visit, undertaken at the invitation of Austrian Chancellor Christian Stocker.

Upon his arrival at Vienna International Airport, the prime minister and members of his delegation were received with a warm welcome. A contingent of the Austrian Armed Forces presented a formal salute in his honour, marking the start of the visit.

Accompanying the prime minister are Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Senator Ishaq Dar, Federal Minister for Information and Broadcasting Attaullah Tarar, and the Special Assistant to the Prime Minister, forming part of the official delegation.

During his stay, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif will engage in both one-on-one discussions and broader delegation-level talks with Chancellor Christian Stocker to review bilateral relations and explore ways to deepen cooperation.

The two leaders are also set to jointly lead a session with prominent business representatives from Pakistan and Austria, aimed at encouraging greater trade and investment between the two countries.

The prime minister will attend and speak at the Pakistan-Austria Business Forum as part of these economic engagements.

In addition, he is scheduled to address a special gathering organized by the United Nations (UN) in Vienna on the theme “Sustainable Development, the Path to Global Peace and Prosperity,” highlighting global cooperation and shared progress.

The visit will also include a meeting with the Director General of the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA), adding an important multilateral dimension to the prime minister’s engagements.
