Islamabad: The National Accountability Bureau (NAB) on Saturday arrested former federal minister Fawad Chaudhry in another corruption case.
The development comes after NAB Chairman Lt-Gen (retd) Nazir Ahmed Butt signed an arrest warrant for Chaudhry.
Fawad Chaudhry was taken into the custody from Adiala jail — where he was incarcerated in a fraud case.
Fawad’s wife, Hiba Chaudhry, also confirmed the development in a post on X (formerly Twitter).
The former minister was arrested in November and remanded in police custody for two days in connection with an August 2022 case for allegedly taking Rs5 million bribe from a citizen.
