Washington (Web Desk): US President Donald Trump has expressed his intention to advise Ukraine to promptly finalize a ceasefire agreement with Russia.

Speaking to the media, Trump emphasized his desire to see an end to further casualties in Ukraine and stressed the urgent need to halt the ongoing bloodshed.

He acknowledged Russia’s significant military strength and urged Ukraine to move towards peace negotiations. “We are very close to a ceasefire deal between Russia and Ukraine, but Ukraine must agree to it,” Trump stated.

Additionally, President Trump cited the example of his role in brokering peace in various global conflicts, including those in Congo, Rwanda, Thailand, Cambodia, and the long-standing tensions between Iran and Israel.

He highlighted that without his timely intervention, the hostilities between Pakistan and India could have escalated into a nuclear confrontation.
