Washington  (Web Desk): US President Donald Trump has indicated that he could visit Islamabad if ongoing negotiations with Iran lead to a successful agreement, highlighting Pakistan’s emerging role in regional diplomacy.

Speaking to reporters at the White House, Trump said that talks with Iran have made notable progress in recent days, expressing optimism that a deal could be reached soon.

He suggested that a successful outcome would not only ease tensions in the region but also open the door for further diplomatic engagement, including a potential visit to Pakistan.

The US president also acknowledged Pakistan’s role in facilitating communication and supporting ceasefire efforts in the region, describing its involvement as constructive and helpful in maintaining dialogue between key stakeholders.

Trump reiterated Washington’s firm stance that Iran must not acquire nuclear weapons, adding that continued negotiations are aimed at ensuring long-term stability and preventing further escalation.

He warned that failure to reach an agreement could lead to renewed tensions, while a successful deal could bring positive economic outcomes, including stability in global oil markets and reduced inflationary pressures.

Observers view Trump’s remarks as a sign of Pakistan’s growing diplomatic relevance, particularly in mediating sensitive regional issues involving major global powers.

A potential visit by the US president to Islamabad, if realized, would mark a significant development in bilateral relations and underscore Pakistan’s role as a facilitator of dialogue and peace efforts.
