New York / Karachi (Web Desk): Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari has said that the world cannot afford another war or global economic downturn, stressing that rising tensions between Iran and the United States can only be resolved through diplomacy and negotiations. He made these remarks in a CNN interview and a recent video message.

Bilawal urged global leaders to prioritize peace over confrontation, stating that meaningful dialogue between Iran and the US is essential not only for regional stability but also for global security.

He warned that any conflict in the Middle East would have severe consequences for the global economy, with developing countries bearing the heaviest burden.

The PPP chairman acknowledged that inflation in Pakistan is being directly driven by the international economic situation. He noted that while the federal government has provided a 50 percent subsidy to ease public pressure, provincial governments should also step forward to support citizens with their own resources.

Highlighting Sindh government initiatives as a model, Bilawal said targeted fuel subsidies have been introduced for the transport sector and motorcycle owners. He added that financial assistance is being provided to small farmers with up to 25 acres of land to support agriculture.

He further mentioned that free home solar systems are being distributed to low-income households to help reduce the impact of high electricity tariffs and energy shortages.

Bilawal reaffirmed that the PPP will continue to support people during difficult economic times and will not leave the public alone in facing ongoing financial challenges.
