Lahore (Web Desk): The 14th death anniversary of renowned comedian and actor of stage, television, and film industry, Ayub Akhtar, popularly known as Babbu Baral, was observed on Tuesday.
Babbu Baral began his professional career as a comedian in Gujranwala in 1982. After some time, he started working at the Open Air Theater in Bagh-e-Jinnah, Lahore.
He was widely admired for his unique style and comic timing, which earned him a prominent place in the entertainment industry.
In recognition of his services, Baral was awarded the “Tamgha-e-Imtiaz” and the “Sitara-e-Imtiaz.”
One of his most popular stage dramas is ‘Shartiya Mithay,’ which is still fondly remembered by audiences.
Babbu Baral passed away after a prolonged illness at the age of 47 on this day in 2011 in Lahore.
