Islamabad (Web Desk): Prime Minister Imran Khan reshuffled the federal cabinet on Friday.
According to details, Shaukat Tareen has been appointed as the country's new finance minister, replacing federal minister Hammad Azhar, who has now been appointed as the Minister for Energy.
Meanwhile, Omar Ayub has been given ministry of Economic Affairs that was previously held by Khusro Bakhtiar.
Bakhtiar has now been appointed the Minister for Industries and Production.
Shibli Faraz and Fawad Chaudhry have swapped the ministries of Science and Technology and Information and Broadcasting.
Newly appointed Minister for Information and Broadcasting Fawad Chaudhry confirmed the news of the cabinet reshuffle in a tweet.
On March 29, Prime Minister Imran Khan removed then finance minister Dr Abdul Hafeez Shaikh and gave the portfolio to Minister for Industries Hammad Azhar as an additional charge.
