Doha (Web Desk): Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif arrived in Doha on Monday for a day-long official visit to take part in the Emergency Arab-Islamic Summit.

At the airport, the premier and his delegation were received by Qatar’s Minister of Culture Sheikh Abdulrahman bin Hamad bin Jassim bin Hamad Al Thani.

The summit has been called in the backdrop of Israeli bombardment on Doha and the deteriorating human rights conditions in Palestine.

The prime minister is accompanied by Deputy Prime Minister Mohammad Ishaq Dar, Defence Minister Khawaja Asif, Information Minister Attaullah Tarar, and Special Assistant Tariq Fatemi as part of his high-level delegation.

Pakistan has consistently emphasized its close partnership with Qatar and has strongly denounced Israeli aggression against Qatar and other states in the region.

Last week, PM Shehbaz also visited Doha where he held discussions with the Qatari leadership, reiterating Pakistan’s firm commitment to Qatar’s sovereignty, security, and to broader peace and stability in the Middle East.

The participation of the Prime Minister of Pakistan, along with other leaders of the Muslim world, in today’s extraordinary summit reflects a collective determination to enhance unity among Muslim nations and work together for regional harmony.
