Karachi (Web Desk): Gold prices have once again witnessed an increase across Pakistan, with new rates for per tola and 10-gram gold being issued following the latest surge in the local market.

According to the All Pakistan Sarafa Gems and Jewellers Association, the price of gold increased by Rs900 per tola during the trading week, pushing the new rate to Rs425,036 per tola.

Similarly, the price of 10-gram gold also went up by Rs771, reaching Rs364,399, reflecting the continued upward trend in gold prices in recent days.

Market analysts said fluctuations in international gold prices, changes in the value of the US dollar, global economic uncertainty, and growing investor interest in safe-haven assets are directly influencing gold rates in Pakistan.

Traders associated with the bullion market stated that even a minor movement in global gold prices quickly affects local rates, as gold prices in Pakistan are determined by international market trends and the rupee’s value against the dollar.

Experts believe that ongoing uncertainty in the global economy and possible changes in monetary policies by central banks may continue to cause fluctuations in gold prices in the coming days.

Meanwhile, bullion dealers said the recent increase could temporarily affect jewellery purchases; however, demand from buyers during the wedding season and those seeking gold as an investment is expected to remain steady.

Experts have advised investors to closely monitor local and international market trends before buying or selling gold, as even small changes in global economic conditions can significantly impact prices.
