Rawalpindi (Web Desk): Security forces killed four terrorists during an intelligence-based operation (IBO) in of Khyber Pakhtukhawa’s (KP) North Waziristan District, the military’s media wing stated on Wednesday.
According to a statement issued by the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), security forces conducted an IBO in Spinwam area of North Waziristan District on reported presence of Khwarij.
“During conduct of the operation, own troops effectively engaged khwarij’s location and after intense exchange of fire, four khwarij were sent to hell,” the statement said.
It added that Weapons and ammunition were also recovered from the killed khwarij, who remained actively involved in numerous terrorist activities against the security forces as well as target killing of innocent civilians.
The military’s media wing said that sanitization operation was being carried out to eliminate any other khawarji found in the area.
“The security forces of Pakistan are determined to wipe-out the menace of terrorism from the country,” the ISPR said.
