Govt decides no increase in salaries of employees from 18 departments

Islamabad (Web Desk): The Federal government has decided not to increase the salaries of employees from 18 departments.

According to sources, the salaries of the employees of departments receiving extra allowances will not be raised.

“A summary of regarding not to increase pay of 18 departments including the Presidency, Prime Minister House, Senate, National Assembly, FBR, Health Department, NAB and others will be tabled in the Cabinet meeting scheduled for February 16 (Tuesday) for approval.

Earlier a summery prepared by the Finance Ministry suggests that the salaries of the employees working in the Presidency, Prime Minister House, Senate, National Assembly, Federal Board of Revenue (FBR), health department, National Accountability Bureau (NAB), high courts, Islamabad Police, Motorway Police, and Airport Security Force (ASF) will not be raised.

Last week, Prime Minister Imran Khan approved increase in salaries of government employees.

The development comes after successful talks were held between the government committee and representatives of the federal government employees protesting for a raise in salaries.
