Karachi (Web Desk): Senior leader of the ruling Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) and Prime Minister's Special Assistant on Political Affairs Naeemul Haque passed away in Karachi on Saturday.
Naeemul Haque, 70, had been battling cancer and had been under treatment at a private hospital.
The PTI leader’s family confirmed his death.
Confirming the news in a tweet, Federal Minister for Science and Technology Fawad Chaudhry said, Naeem Ul Haq fought like a lion aagainstt Cancer, a friend, elder and a colleague …. will always be missed… may Allah Rest his soul in peace #RIPNaeemUlHaq
Haque, the co-founder of the PTI, has also served as its Central Information Secretary and President of PTI Sindh.
A tweet by the PTI's official Twitter account called Haque "a dedicated Pakistani, a loyal friend and a kind human being". It said the entire PTI family is aggrieved upon his demise.
