Islamabad (Web Desk): Chief of Army Staff (COAS) General Syed Asim Munir rejected the notion of brain drain, calling it instead a “brain gain,” and praised the overseas Pakistanis as ambassadors and shining lights of the nation.

“You are not just representatives; you are the brilliance of Pakistan that reflects across the world, he said while speaking at the first Overseas Pakistanis Convention in Islamabad.

He credited the Pakistani diaspora with strengthening international ties and promoting the country's true image abroad. He said that their presence on the global stage reflects Pakistan’s potential and spirit.

The COAS did not shy away from addressing security concerns but placed them in the broader context of national resolve and unity.

“Even ten generations of terrorists cannot damage Balochistan or Pakistan,” he stated firmly, dismissing threats to national integrity as futile in the face of a determined people.

The army chief described Balochistan not only as a cornerstone of the country's future but as a living testament to Pakistan’s pride and resilience.

He reiterated that as long as the nation stood behind its defenders, no obstacle would be too great.

“As long as the proud people of Pakistan stand behind their armed forces, no challenge is insurmountable,” he said, drawing applause from the audience.

General Asim Munir conveyed his heartfelt appreciation for the loyalty and love shown by overseas communities.

“I am truly moved by your passion for Pakistan. Let me assure you that our bond with you is even stronger,” the COAS asserted.

Urging the attendees to preserve and promote Pakistan’s founding values, Gen Munir emphasized the importance of cultural continuity.

He called on overseas Pakistanis to educate their children about the country’s roots, culture, and sacrifices. “Together, we are sending a clear message: whoever stands in the way of Pakistan’s progress will be removed,” he asserted, stressing the collective responsibility toward national development.

Referring to the country’s abundant potential, he reminded the audience of Pakistan’s natural wealth and divine blessings. “Allah has blessed Pakistan with abundant natural resources, and citizens should be grateful,” he stated, underlining the importance of unity and gratitude in achieving prosperity.

General Asim Munir also reflected on Pakistan’s civilizational and ideological foundation, calling it a source of enduring strength.

“We do not fear adversity; we have never bowed to hardships, and we never will,” he said, invoking a deep sense of national identity and resilience.

Paying homage to those who made the ultimate sacrifice for the nation, he said, “Their sacrifices are eternal and will never be forgotten.”

The COAS spoke with solemn reverence, reinforcing that the martyrs' legacy lives on in every citizen who works for a stronger Pakistan.

On regional affairs, he reaffirmed Pakistan’s moral and political support for those struggling under oppression.

“Kashmir is Pakistan’s jugular vein,” he reiterated, while also voicing solidarity with Palestine.

“The hearts of Pakistanis beat with the people of Gaza,” he said, echoing the sentiments of the nation toward oppressed communities.

He concluded the address with a tone of determination and optimism.

“The question is not if Pakistan will progress—but how fast,” COAS General Asim Munir declared, ending on a rousing note that was met with an enthusiastic chant from the crowd: “Pakistan Zindabad.”
