Gold price increases by Rs1,000 per tola in Pakistan

Karachi (Web Desk): The local bullion market ON Thursday witnessed an upward adjustment in gold prices, as the rate of 24-karat gold per tola increased by Rs1,000, reaching Rs492,362 compared with Rs491,362 recorded in the previous trading session, according to data released by the All Pakistan Sarafa Gems and Jewellers Association (APSGJA).

Following the same trend, the price of 10 grams of 24-karat gold also rose by Rs858 to Rs422,121, up from Rs421,263 a day earlier. Similarly, 10 grams of 22-karat gold saw an increase of Rs787, moving up to Rs386,958 from Rs386,171.

In the international bullion market, gold prices gained $10 per ounce, climbing from $4,690 to $4,700.

Silver prices also strengthened in the domestic market, with the rate per tola increasing by Rs 65 to settle at Rs9,204, while 10 grams of silver went up by Rs55 to Rs7,890.

Globally, silver also recorded an upward movement, rising by $0.65 per ounce to reach $87.20.
