Kartarpur Corridor: Second round of Pakistan-India talks held at Wagah

Lahore (Staff Report/Agencies): The second round of talks between India and Pakistan regarding the Kartarpur Corridor held at Wagha on Sunday.

Talking to the media after the meeting, Foreign Office Spokesman Dr Muhammad Faisal has said positive development has taken place during the talks on Kartarpur Corridor.

He said that consensus have been reached on eighty percent issues regarding  Kartarpur Corridor, whereas rest of the issues will also be resolved during future talks.

Dr Faisal said that specific details will be shared with public after the agreement. He said that the purpose of opening the corridor is establishing peace.

The first round of talks between the two nuclear-armed arch-rivals was held on March 14 this year at India’s Attari border. It was decided that the second round will take place at Wagah border on April 2 but India had refused to participate in the meeting.

However, the second round was held on India’s request.
