Karachi (Web Desk): Sindh Governor Nihal Hashmi hoisted the national flag at the Governor House in Karachi on the occasion of Independence Day.
Addressing the ceremony, Governor Hashmi said keeping homes, schools, neighbourhoods and cities clean was a shared responsibility of every citizen.
He stressed that maintaining cleanliness should not be viewed solely as the responsibility of government departments, urging people to play their part in keeping their surroundings clean and hygienic.
The Sindh governor said every citizen had an important role to play in the country’s progress and prosperity. He called for a collective sense of responsibility and active participation from the public to help Pakistan move forward.
Hashmi said Independence Day was not only an occasion to celebrate the country’s freedom but also an opportunity to reaffirm commitment to national responsibilities and the development of Pakistan.
The Sindh governor urged citizens to contribute positively to society, maintain cleanliness in their surroundings and work together for a cleaner, stronger and more prosperous Pakistan.
