Lahore (Web Desk): The Lahore High Court (LHC) on Wednesday granted bail to Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) President Shehbaz Sharif in the assets beyond means case.
LHC division bench headed by Justice Sardar Sarfraz Dogar heard the National Accountability Bureau (NAB)'s arguments on the bail application of the PML-N leader.
The opposition leader had approached the high court against his arrest by the National Accountability Bureau (NAB) in the corruption reference.
On Tuesday, Shehbaz Sharif’s counsel Azam Nazir Tarar completed arguments for his bail, claiming that NAB has failed to come up with any evidence to establish the charges.
The LHC had earlier reserved the verdict after hearing arguments from both parties.
The PML-N leader was granted bail against two surety bonds of Rs5 million each.
Shehbaz Sharif was taken into custody on September 28 from the LHC premises after his bail application was rejected.
