Islamabad (Staff Report): Interior Minister Ahsan Iqbal has said that government has decided to ban Ansarul Sharia, a terrorist group involved in different militant activities.
Talking to the media in Islamabad on Wednesday, Ahsan Iqbal said that working in this regard has been started, adding that four key leader of the organization have been arrested so far, while hunt for others is underway.
“The accused group came to the forefront when evidence was found and arrests were made after the attack on Muttahida Qaumi Movement-Pakistan leader Khawaja Izharul Hassan last week”, a police report added.
The interior minister said that DG Rangers has briefed about major breakthrough in the case and major arrests are expected in coming days.
He vowed to drive the National Action Plan in better way and prevent educated youth from menace of terrorism.
