New York (Web Desk): The 72nd annual session of the 193 member UN General Assembly has begun in New York.
Addressing the opening session, new president of the UN General Assembly Miroslav Lajcak said that efforts will be continued to fight poverty and inequality during the next year.
UN Secretary General Antonio Guterres in his remarks said the world faces serious threats from the proliferation of nuclear weapons to global terrorism and climate change.
Prime Minister Shahid Khaqan Abbasi will address the UN Assembly on 21st September.
