Islamabad (Web Desk):  The Pakistan Telecommunication Authority (PTA) has issued new guidelines for the use of Virtual Private Network (VPN) services. Under the new rules, users will no longer need to contact PTA directly for VPN registration. Instead, they will be able to obtain VPN services directly from licensed providers.

According to PTA, to formalize the provision of VPN services, specific companies will now be granted licenses under the "Class Value Added Services (Data)" category. The licensed companies include Alpha 3 Cubic, Zeta Byte, Nixilium Tech, Vision Tech 360, and UKI Conic Solutions.

The authority has stated that the purpose of this initiative is to ensure that users have easy access to legal, secure, and reliable VPN services, allowing them to maintain safe and private online connections. PTA believes that this new system will enhance digital security, data protection, and strengthen national cybersecurity efforts in Pakistan.
