New York (Web Desk): Pakistan has once again voiced its steadfast support for the sovereignty, territorial integrity, and unity of Bosnia and Herzegovina during a debate held at the United Nations Security Council (UNSC).
Addressing the session, Pakistan's Permanent Representative to the UN Asim Iftikhar Asim Iftikhar Ahmad stated that the General Framework Agreement for Peace, commonly known as the Dayton Peace Accord, continues to be the key basis for maintaining peace, stability, progress, and the welfare of all communities living in Bosnia and Herzegovina.
The ambassador also underscored Pakistan’s close and friendly relations with Bosnia and Herzegovina and its people.
The Pakistani envoy expressed optimism that the country’s political leaders would show wisdom and responsibility by engaging in constructive and meaningful dialogue to resolve differences and work together for the benefit and prosperity of all citizens.
