In phone call with DPM Dar, Kuwaiti FM lauds Pakistan’s role in promoting regional peace

Islamabad (Web Desk): Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Mohammad Ishaq Dar on Wednesday held a telephonic conversation with Kuwait’s Foreign Minister Sheikh Jarrah Jaber Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah, focusing on the wider international economic consequences that could arise from any potential closure of the Strait of Hormuz.

Both leaders also expressed the expectation that the current tensions would ultimately be resolved through peaceful and sustainable means.

During the conversation, DPM Dar reiterated Pakistan’s continued resolve to support and contribute to every possible diplomatic effort aimed at strengthening peace and stability across the region and beyond.

The Kuwaiti Foreign Minister appreciated efforts undertaken by the Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, Field Marshal Asim Munir, and the deputy prime minister in promoting dialogue and engagement between the United States and Iran.

He also praised Pakistan’s positive and constructive role in promoting regional peace and maintaining stability.
