Karachi (Web Desk): Gold rates in Pakistan’s domestic bullion market moved lower on Wednesday, with the value of 24-karat gold per tola shedding Rs1,100 to close at Rs491,362, down from Rs492,462 recorded in the previous session, as per data shared by the All Pakistan Sarafa Gems and Jewellers Association (APSGJA).
The cost of 10 grams of 24-karat gold also declined by Rs943, bringing the new price to Rs421,263 compared to Rs422,206 a day earlier. Likewise, 10 grams of 22-karat gold became cheaper by Rs865 and was traded at Rs386,171 against the earlier rate of Rs387,036.
In the global bullion market, gold prices also witnessed a slight dip, with the metal losing $11 per ounce to settle at $4,690, compared to the previous price of $4,701.
On the other hand, silver prices recorded an upward trend in local markets. The price of silver per tola jumped by Rs231 to reach Rs9,139, while the rate for 10 grams of silver increased by Rs198, closing at Rs7,835. Internationally, silver prices also posted gains, rising by $2.31 per ounce to settle at $86.55.
