Security forces eliminate 43 terrorists in extensive IBOs since December 9: ISPR

Rawalpindi (Web Desk): As many as 43 terrorists have been killed by the Security Forces since December 9 during extensive Intelligence Based Operations (IBOs) conducted in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) and Balochistan, causing a major setback to Fitna-Al- Khwarij and other terrorist groups operating in Balochistan.

“On night 12-13 December, security forces conducted an IBO in Lakki Marwat District. Own troops effectively engaged the khwarij location and resultantly six khwarij were killed. Since December 9, 18 khwarij have been sent to hell in KP Province,” said an Inter Service Public Relations (ISPR) news release issued Friday.

On Friday, after an intense fire exchange, the security forces successfully neutralized 10 terrorists in two separate IBOs conducted in Musa Khel and Panjgur districts of Balochistan.

The statement added that since 9 December, 25 terrorists have been sent to hell in Balochistan.

“These operations will continue till peace in the area is restored and khawrij are eliminated, as the security forces of Pakistan are determined to wipe out the menace of terrorism from the country,” the ISPR said.

Meanwhile, President Asif Ali Zardari and Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif on Friday paid tribute to the security forces for conducting successful operations against Khawarij terrorists in Balochistan and KP provinces.

In separate statements, the president and the premier commended the security forces for killing 43 Khawarij terrorists in various operations in district Panjgur, Musakhel, Lakki Marwat and other areas since December 09, 2024.

President Asif Ali Zardari expressed the optimism that the armed forces will get more successes in the war against terrorism in future as well.

Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif said the entire nation presents solute to the security forces and is standing resolutely with them to eliminate the scourge of terrorism from the country.
