Kyiv (Web Desk): A ballistic missile strike by Russia on the northern Ukrainian city of Sumy has resulted in at least 32 fatalities and left numerous others injured, some critically.

According to international news agencies, this attack is being called the deadliest strike on Ukraine this year, causing widespread destruction and panic. Emergency rescue teams arrived swiftly at the site to assist the injured and transport them to hospitals.

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky strongly condemned the attack, labeling it as an act of terrorism. He pointed out that the attack took place at a time when people were heading to churches for prayers, emphasizing Russia’s deliberate efforts to instill fear among civilians.

In his statement, Zelensky said, “This is exactly the kind of terror that Russia seeks to create, and that is why it continues prolonging the war.” He further stated that negotiations cannot stop ballistic missiles and aerial bombings.

Zelensky called on the international community to take immediate and decisive action against Russia to prevent further acts of terror.
