Washington (Web Desk): President Donald Trump has announced the arrest of a suspect linked to the murder of prominent conservative activist and his close ally, Charlie Kirk.
In an exclusive interview with Fox News, Trump shared that the breakthrough came after an individual who personally knew the suspect provided crucial information to the police. “We now have the person we were searching for,” he stated.
Charlie Kirk, 31, the founder and CEO of Turning Point USA, was shot during a public event at Utah Valley University on September 11. The shooting sent shockwaves through conservative communities nationwide.
Authorities have recovered the bolt-action rifle used in the attack from an area close to the crime scene. Investigators believe the attacker is likely a college-aged student.
Following the incident, U.S. officials had offered a $100,000 reward for tips leading to the suspect’s arrest. President Trump described the apprehension as a significant step forward in the case.
Kirk was widely admired among conservative youth, with his organization Turning Point USA playing a key role in promoting Republican values among young Americans.
