California (Web Desk): Instagram's head, Adam Mosseri, recently announced that the platform is testing a new menu bar layout, which will bring changes to the arrangement of various tabs. The updated design will feature dedicated tabs for Instagram's popular features, such as Reels and DMs.
According to international news agencies, the new layout will replace the search tab with a Reels tab, and the Reels tab will be swapped with the search functionality. Additionally, the tab for creating new posts will be moved to the position previously held by the DMs tab.
As part of the changes, Meta is offering an option that allows users to easily switch between the Reels and DMs tabs. Currently, the update is being tested and is optional, meaning users can revert to the old layout if they prefer the previous setup.
The test suggests that it might take some time for users to get accustomed to the new tab arrangement, and Meta is gradually rolling out the update to ease the transition.
