Washington (Web Desk): According to US media reports, 200 American soldiers have arrived in Israel as part of the first phase of the Gaza ceasefire. These troops will collaborate with forces from Egypt, Qatar, and Turkey stationed in Gaza, without entering the region themselves.
As part of the peace agreement in Gaza, the Israeli military has begun withdrawing to its designated boundaries. To monitor this process, US Special Representative Steve Vitkoff visited Gaza and confirmed that the first phase of the Israeli military's withdrawal has been completed.
Admiral Brad Cooper, the head of US Central Command (CENTCOM), also issued a statement after his visit to Gaza. He clarified that the purpose of the visit was to assess how to establish a US-led civil-military coordination center, and assured that no US military forces would be deployed within Gaza.
