California (Web Desk): Popular music streaming service Spotify has introduced a new feature for its users, allowing Android users to share their favorite songs, albums, playlists, or podcasts directly to their WhatsApp status.
According to a tech website, with this new feature, whenever users play a track, album, or playlist on Spotify, they will be able to post that song to their WhatsApp status using the share option. The content shared on the status will appear in an attractive card format, displaying the song's cover art, title, and artist's name. Additionally, viewers of the status will get a short audio preview, and there will be an "Open in Spotify" button. Clicking this button will take them directly to the Spotify app.
To use this feature, users need to open the Spotify app, select the song, album, or playlist they want to share, press the share icon, choose WhatsApp, and post it to their status. The selected content will then appear on their WhatsApp status.
Currently, this feature is available only for Android users, but it is expected to be released for iOS users soon. If users do not see this option yet, they will need to update the Spotify app through the Google Play Store to activate the feature.
