Austin (Web Desk): Elon Musk has made history by becoming the world’s first trillionaire after shares of SpaceX were offered for public trading for the first time.
According to reports, the company’s shares were priced at $135 each in the initial public offering (IPO), pushing Musk’s net worth beyond the $1 trillion mark.
SpaceX reportedly raised around $75 billion through the offering, taking the company’s valuation to approximately $1.77 trillion.
The company’s shares began trading under the ticker “SPCX” on Friday as markets opened in the United States. However, analysts noted that Musk’s trillionaire status could fluctuate if share prices decline.
According to Forbes, Musk’s net worth stood at around $813 billion before the IPO announcement.
