Tehran (Web Desk): Iran’s Supreme Leader, Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, has strongly criticized United States (US) politics and international decision-making, warning that President Donald Trump could face a fate similar to that of history’s arrogant and oppressive rulers.
Ayatollah Khamenei said that those consumed by pride, who consider themselves masters of the world’s affairs, should learn from the lessons of history. Citing figures such as Pharaoh, Nimrod, and Reza Shah, he emphasized that the height of power is never permanent, and authority never remains with one individual forever.
Meanwhile, Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian accused the United States and Israel of fueling unrest and disorder within Iran. He stressed that the country would respond decisively and forcefully to any acts of aggression.
President Pezeshkian also warned that in the event of an attack on Iran, not only Israel but also US military bases in the region would become targets. He underscored that Iran would not compromise its sovereignty or security under any circumstances.
Analysts say that the recent statements from Iranian leadership reflect rising tensions in the region and a sharp escalation in the already strained relations between Iran, the United States, and Israel, with potential consequences for the broader stability of the Middle East.
